Winter International Lolita Day 2014

Aloha darlings! Yet another year has gone by and this Winter International Lolita Day has come and gone. I had a loli date with my close friends and we attended the Honolulu City Lights lighting of the tree. It was quite a nice ceremony with carolers and children's choirs and protesters. So with out further ado I shall post the pictures!

My outfit was a mix of off brand and fanplusfriend. I decided to wear a dress I miss wearing.

Protesters made a good point this time around. It was wonderful to know that we even had protesters.

It is supposed to say Hauoli Makahiki Hou. It cut off.

Hawaii's versions Santa and Mrs. Claus vacationing.

As you can see we had fun and that's all that matters. Here is a bonus picture:

With Aloha and stay Kawaii!

Shopping Adventure: Samantha Thavasa

Aloha everyone! Today's shopping adventure takes me back to Samantha Thavasa. I can never leave this shop without buying something from them. That's just how kawaii their products are. Instead of purchasing something large like I would have I bought a small ipad carrier since my favorite one broke.

The ipad bag outside is made from nylon silk. It is embroidered with their bear mascot and the words "Invitation รก un voyage-inoubliable." It is the perfect shade of pastel pink trimmed with a dark pink silk piping. The zipper pull has cute pink ribbons and pearls and it makes the bag ever soo much cuter. This bag is lined in fine dark pink silk. The overall feel and quality of this brand is worth every sweet penny spent. They spare no details on their products and being that they are a luxury bag brand I would expect no less.

Here are pictures if the details I just discussed:

If you are looking for quality and luxury maybe you should try Samantha Thavasa!

Shopping Adventure: TONYMOLY

Aloha everyone! Today's shopping adventure takes me to a cute Make Up and Body Care shop called TONYMOLY. TONYMOLY is a Korean make up and body care shop with some of the cutest make up and accessories you have ever seen. Their products leave the skin soft to the touch. Today's haul is brought to you by skin care!

I recently started to work in retail and I started to realize that my skin is now needing a bit more care so that it looks less tired. So I replenished a few items that I have originally ran out of and bought a little bit more as well.

Egg pore spa here I trying it out and as you rub it turns from clear to white. It helps to clean black heads and other disgusting junk out of your pores. I now swear by it after my experience with it today.

Egg pore make up base. This usually goes under your make up as a primer. It is like a pore putty and it helps your pores tighten. It doesn't feel oily like some of the other primers that's use and it makes your skin not feel heavy and more like velvet.

Panda white magic cream which is a skin lightner and it works (I've used it before.)

Panda white hand cream. This is made with bamboo extract and makes your hands feel so nice and smooth. It's perfect for sensitive skin like mine. I recommend it to everyone!

Black bee toner! I swear by this toner. It is really good for acne and sensitive skin. I recommend this product as well to everyone.

If you have a chance to stop by a local TONYMOLY or are able to find a reasonably priced way to purchase these items online try these things out. You never know you might go there for one thing and come back with more.

Aloha Kakou!

September Lolita Date

Hi guys it's been a long time since I've written anything. In September we had a small Lolita Date I was reunited with an old friend and introduced some of the girls to her. It's been roughly 6 years since I've spoken to her and it was nice to catch up with where she is in life. I'm really happy for her in many ways and I hope she understands how much I appreciate her and her friendship. Everyone let's give Alice a warm welcome!

Our Lolita Date was at a small and intimate tea cafe called The Tea Farm Cafe. There was enough seating for us in the back of the cafe where we spent most of the time laughing and catching up and getting to know each other. This place is well known for an event that happened earlier in the year that one Miss Midori Fukasawa had attended which helped added to our decision to of having our Lolita Date here. We were impressed with the pictures of the food and fondue we seen from the event.

This is a picture of how it looks right next to the register and entrance. It really is a lovely, quite, and intimate spot. The service here is just amazing and they enjoy serving everyone of all walks of life. There is no judgement here as a lot of local Lolita who attend the college up the road come here.

This is the ice cream they have for their chocolate fondue. It is Haagen Daaz and the texture is spot on and not too sweet but just right balancing out the slightly bitter chocolate fondue.

Eating fondue is tricky and we all had to be super careful whilst eating. Here is Vallie trying hard not to get any chocolate on her gorgeous outfit and Alice is worried about the chocolate dripping.

Rickey and Rizzu are chilling out in between rounds of fondue.
Sharing my favorite ice cream green tea.

In all this was an exciting day. I got to see old friends and new friends hanging out and getting along. It's a day I'll never forget! I cannot wait until our next adventure!

Kawaii in Hawaii goes to the Pan-Pacific Festival at Ala Moana

Aloha and welcome to a special shopping episode of Kawaii in Hawaii. Yesterday we had attended a small portion of the Pan-Pacific festival here in Honolulu. We went to our local mall Ala Moana. Let me tell you a bit about Ala Moana. It's the biggest open air mall in Hawaii and with it's esthetics of koi ponds and beautiful greenery it's quite a relaxing environment. Sounds of classic Hawaiian music play through out the mall and the stores are nice and cold which is a great relaxer after being in the hot sun. It's a must visit for anyone coming to Oahu.

The Pan-Pacific usually happens in June and is a celebration of Pacific life and Japanese culture. Usually it highlights the culture of Hawaii and Japan with elaborate hula routines from Halau in Japan. This year we had a special appearance by Ultra Man! Of course Rickey had to tell me to calm down and stay Kawaii  because I was soo excited to watch the Ultra Man display they had. I apologize for the grain photos but we only had our cell phones on us this time and the lighting is really awful.

On this trip we did do some shopping. The newest edition of Japanese stores that has just opened here Samantha Thavasa. Samantha Thavasa is. A high end retail store for purses, bag accessories and various goods like handkerchiefs and room accessories. I had bought a handkerchief to better match my coordinate do the day.

Totemo Kawaii! The handkerchief is made of fine cotton and is only $12 and is a dark grey and pink.

Another thing we found at the mall at a small food court kiosk called Yamamoto Kansai is Animal Shaped doughnuts. Yes that's right! Hawaii has the current trend in Kawaii Doughnuts. They call them Kawaii Dobutsu Doughnuts. For Rickey he had a milk and cereal neko and a regular white chocolate kuma-chan. On a scal of Love's Bakery to Regal Diner in doughnuts the texture was Love's Bakery but the taste was Regal Diner worthy. I had a strawberry buta and a green tea kero. I have yet to eat them because they're much too kawaii to eat to me. I'm sorry for using Japanese Romaji but that's the names they used for them at Yamamoto Kansai.

It's just soo hard to eat them when they have such kawaii faces.

We then ended the day playing a little bit of my favorite game which is Music GunGun2 at the arcade. My favorite songs to play are Bad Apple, Just be Friends, and Go My Way. Of course with my outfit we attracted a lot of people wondering what was up.
This was taken right before the crowd started showing up.So after a long day of fun and hula we went home.

Until next adventure!

This trip was a special trip. We actually went in hopes of getting a particular item but left with a totally unexpected surprise. Today we left with three new key chains that are collectables that are a must need for any Sailor Moon fan.

The service at MiniQ is top notch and knowledgable. The staff are very pleasant and are willing to speak to anyone. Their prices are really well priced and their items are 100% genuinely the real deal. They do have an online shop so please don't hesitate to look them up.
